Miley Cyrus provokes fans in sheer strapless dress with a bizarre box instead of neckline

The 26-year-old singer, songwriter, and actress, Miley Cyrus, stole the show when she wore a black dress with a strange neckline to a red-carpet event.

Cyrus attended the Grammys in a structured black Jean Paul Gaultier dress with sheer insets across her midriff and shoulders.

Described as a combination of a strapless crop top and skirt, the dress also features a high neckline which is structured around her neck and face.

Cyrus completed the outfit with a pair of strappy high heels, diamond dangling earrings and rings, with her hair styled in an updo.

Her makeup was kept to a minimum, and her makeup artists highlighted Cyrus's eyes with a dark shade, with a dash of pale pink on her lips.

Cyrus changed into a black vest and pair of matching leggings for her performance with Shawn Mendez at the prestigious event.

Her sister Noah accompanied her for the evening, as her husband Liam Hemsworth was recuperating from an unknown illness.

While details of the illness have not been released, his "Romantic" co-star, Rebel Wilson, confirmed his condition:

"He's texted us this morning, he was in hospital overnight so hopefully he will be fine."

Cyrus, ever the fashion icon, also took other members of her family with, including her father Billy Ray Cyrus, and her mother Tish.

Other performers at the Grammy's included Arturo Sandoval, Camila Cabello, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kacey Musgraves, and Dua Lipa.

The Record Of The Year Award went to Childish Gambino for "This Is America," while Kacey Musgraves bagged the Album Of The Year Award for "Golden Hour."

Dua Lipa was announced as the Best New Artist, while Cecile McLorin Salvin was declared the winner in the category of "Best Jazz Vocal Album."

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga also bagged a few awards for their "A Star Is Born" soundtrack, including Best Song Written For Visual Media."

Making waves at the international event, was the Soweto Gospel Choir from South Africa, who bagged the Best World Music Album for "Freedom."
