Robert De Niro's grandson is all grown up and he might follow his famous grandpa’s career path
Even though Lady Gaga got all the plaudits for her acting debut in "A Star Is Born," there was at least one other actor taking the first steps in his acting career.
Robert De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, starred in the hit movie alongside his mother, Drena.
De Niro is a devoted family man, the father of six is not shy to brag about his kids, and at least two of them were bitten by the acting bug.
De Niro’s eldest son Raphael tried his hand at acting for a while before moving out of the family business to work in real estate development.
De Niro’s eldest child is daughter Drena. Drena is De Niro’s adopted child from his first marriage to actress Diahnne Abbot.
Abbot co-starred with De Niro in Taxi Driver, and the couple married in 1976. They remained married until 1988.
Drena is an actress, and despite not having bagged any breakout roles have been active in Hollywood for more than 20 years.
With all the talent in the family, it’s probably not any major surprise that Drena’s son Leandro seems destined for a career on the stage as well.
Drena and Leandro played Paulette and Leo Stone in "A Star Is Born," his third acting role so far.
With six children and who knows how many grandchildren to come it sees likely we’ll be able to look forward to seeing members of the De Niro clan on our screens for years to come.
De Niro also has twins from his relationship with Toukie Smith. The boys Aaron and Julian are 23 years old now.
He also has a son Elliot, 20, and a 7-year-old daughter Helen Grace via surrogate with current wife, Grace Hightower.
It was reported the De Niro, and Hightower separated last November but this isn’t the first time the pair have separated, so it’s not clear that it will lead to divorce.
