Kenya Moore Seemingly Throws Shade at NeNe Leakes' Appearance on 'The Real,' Gets Heavily Slammed

Kenya Moore faced unexpected backlash after giving off what seemed like a subtle dig at her former co-star NeNe Leakes during the latter’s appearance on “The Real.”

It’s no news that Leakes and Moore, despite working for years together on “Real Housewives Of Atlanta,” are not best of friends, but fans did not think Moore’s shade was appropriate.

Leakes, 51, was on “The Real” as a guest co-host last Friday where she got talking about spousal support with the other hosts, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, and Jeannie Mai.

Mai recently got divorced from her husband of ten years, so she shared her personal experience on the topic of discussion.

“I was married to somebody who had more money than me, but because I was a stronger earner, and we lived in California, a shocking thing slapped me in the face when we divorced and I had to end up paying him my earnings, and that really thought me a lesson today about looking out for myself. You know, because it was an emotional thing. It’s not just…”

LEAKES INTERRUPTS MAI

“I paid spousal support when we [my husband and I] broke up,” Leakes cut in while Mai still appeared to be overwhelmed by emotions. “We have all been blessed, which is why we had to pay spousal support. You know that, right?”

Leakes and her husband, Gregg (who at the moment is battling cancer), divorced in 2011 but reconciled and tied the knot again two years later.

DISGRUNTLED FANS

Several viewers who saw the clip where Leakes interrupted Mai were not happy and registered their opinions in the comments section.

One user @adenma29 said: “I would have rather Jeannie finish her statement then to hear nene comment” and Moore, 48, seemed to agree because she liked the comment.

MOORE GETS CALLED OUT

But many “RHOA” fans berated Moore for her actions.

“Kenya just bitter,” said one user.

“And that's why you’re off the show!” another retorted.

“I’m so glad Kenya gone stay gone,” chimed in a third.

MOORE & LEAKES: A ROCKY HISTORY

Moore and Leakes had a tumultuous relationship on “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” and even when the former Miss USA exited the show after Season 10, it didn’t look like their relationship got any better.

Reacting to the news of Moore welcoming her first child last November, Leakes offered only an index-finger clap and even added an unmistakable side-eye to show she wasn’t too thrilled at the news.

In a surprising twist, however, Leakes told a fan earlier this year on “Watch What Happens Live” that “the door is open” for Moore in her world.

Leakes is yet to respond to Moore’s recent subtle shade, but we’re sure “RHOA” fans can’t wait to see what happens next between these two.
