Marques Houston, the actor, known for playing Roger Evans in the 90’s sitcom “Sister Sister,” just announced his engagement to his girlfriend of five months.

“Sister Sister” had viewers glued to their TV screens from 1994 to 1999, and besides identical twins Tia and Tamera Mowry, Houston was another reason the show was a hit. The annoying yet adorable Roger Evans was a boy at the time, but today, he’s officially off the market.

The actor-turned-musician took to Instagram a few hours ago to share the good news with his one million followers.

“She said ‘YES,’” he captioned one photo of his hand interlocked with his fiancée, Miya’s. In the background was a beach shoreline and the focus of the shot is, not surprisingly, Miya’s dazzling diamond ring.

Houston was previously in a relationship with his “You Got Served” co-star.

Houston, 37, also shared more pictures from what looked like their engagement photo-shoot. He and Miya snuggled in the backseat of a car for one shot.

Cuddling up to his woman and matching in red and shirts and faded ripped denim pants, Houston referred to Miya as “My fiancé.”

In another picture, the couple exchanged a look of love while Miya placed one hand affectionately on the side of her fiancé’s face.

The excited bride-to-be also dedicated several posts to the engagement announcement on Instagram, where her name already reads “Houston” and her bio indicates they started dating last October.

Beneath an image of the couple cuddling and holding out their hands toward the camera, Miya wrote:

“Today I said ‘yes’ to my Bestfriend.

I said yes to a new beginning.

I said yes to my spiritual head.

I said yes to loving you forever and forever baby.

I am so blessed to have you and to be yours FOREVER. These past months have been the best months of my life. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend them with anyone else or any other way. I love you so much and I promise to always be the best for Jehovah and for you. You deserve the best and it’s my goal to give you that. I can’t wait to marry you.

- Your fiancé.”

Miya and Houston are both Jehovah’s Witnesses, a denomination the actor reportedly joined in 2016.

Following his roles on “Sister Sister,” Houston has since appeared on other productions like “You Got Served” and “Fat Albert.” He also delved into the world of music for some time before sticking with film production.

Per Dailymail.com, Houston was previously in a relationship with his “You Got Served” co-star Jennifer Freeman and a stylist named Marlena Campbell.
