Melania Trump Looks like a Real Fashion Icon in this Unusual-for-Her Elegant Pink Suit

First Lady Melania Trump hosted an Interagency meeting on Monday morning at the White House in Washington D.C. It was in conjunction with her work on her Be Best campaign.

For this occasion, the first lady chose to recycle a pink suit which made her look quite elegant.

Melania Trump’s Be Best campaign focuses on the well-being of youth while advocating against cyberbullying and drug use. The first lady hosted a meeting at the White House to review youth programmes run by a number of government departments and agencies.

The White House revealed that the aim of the meeting was to build upon and improve youth programmes which are aligned with Trump’s campaign. Opening her cabinet meeting, she said: “My focus is and always will be on our children - the next generation.”

In the State Dining Room she added:

“They are our future doctors, nurses, firefighters, scientists, teachers, chefs, generals, pilots, designers, reporters, and missionaries just to name a few.”

The Cabinet secretaries who were in attendance included: Acting Interior Secretary David Bernhard, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.

The Justice Department, Labor Department, and State Department were also among the 10 executive departments that were represented. In an unusual move, the first lady chose to re-wear an old outfit.

She proved why she's a fashion icon by wearing a pale pink suit designed by Emilio Pucci. The outfit featured a longline blazer and she wore the double-breasted jacket unfastened.

The first lady added a white long-sleeved top underneath. The suit, which she wore almost a year ago, was estimated to cost around $4,220.

She wore it the first time on March 23. At the time, she had been attending the International Women of Courage Award Ceremony at the State Department.

During that instance, the first lady had added a bright yellow top to her look. She also added a pair of nude pointed high heels.

Trump rarely recycles her clothing in public. Her Be Best initiative was launched last year on May 7, with the White House describing it as “an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children.”

On February 26, the first lady met with designer Rachel Roy and Indian children’s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi at the White House. They met to discuss Satyarthi and Roy’s initiatives to help children.

For the meeting, Trump wore a gray Max Mara skirt-suit made from a wool-cashmere blend. She added a black high-necked blouse tucked into the skirt and completed the look with a belt at the waist.

The first lady wore with it a pair of black 4.75-inch pointy-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin.
