Lil Scrappy’s Wife Bambi Lashes out at Fan Who Called Her a ‘Side Chick’

Lil Scrappy’s wife, Bambi Benson clapped back after a fan left a distasteful comment on her Instagram. The new mom of months-old Breland shared photos of her family of three during baby swim class. But the fan chose to focus on Bambi and Scrappy’s past.

“Side chick turned wifey #goals” the fan with the handle cameilla_iris wrote, earning the ire of Bambi. “The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star soon retaliated and corrected her.

“Side chicks become baby mommas, honey. I’ve always been the one.”

WHY BAMBI TOOK OFFENSE

There’s a reason Bambi reacted that way. Contrary to what many people think, Bambi began dating Little Scrappy way after his relationship with his real baby mama, Erica Dixon, fizzled out. Erica is the mother of Scrappy’s teenage daughter, Emani Richardson.

In May 2016, Scrappy proposed marriage to Bambi but the engagement ended abruptly after the latter called it off the following year. She reportedly ditched him after hearing about his playboy ways.

WHO THE REAL SIDE CHICK IS

To make matters worse, Scrappy appeared to be getting back with Erica after their botched engagement or even before the engagement according to Erica herself. In an interview on VH1 around August 2016, Erica revealed Scrappy was trying to win her back just weeks before he popped the question to Bambi. That clearly pissed Bambi off.

WHAT LED TO THEIR RECONCILIATION

Flash forward to August 2017 when Scrappy launched an Atlanta-wide search he called “Operation: Find the Bam” in order to win her back. He documented his search which led him to gyms and different spots asking people if they’d seen Bambi. Meanwhile, the 34-year-old was beginning to warm up to Scrappy due to his romantic gesture. Shortly after, news circulated that they were back together. By October, they tied the knot. They welcomed their first child in September the following year.

This is why Bambi wasn’t going to allow the fan to refer to her as a side chick. She never was. And neither was she a baby mama because she’s married to the father of her child.

She attached the soundtrack of “Baby Shark” to the video that earned praises from her followers.
