'The Voice' Contestant Janice Freeman's Cause of Death Revealed
"The Voice" star, Janice Freeman’s cause of death, ruled as pulmonary embolism. She has also been battling lupus for some time.
At the young age of 33, "The Voice" contestant, Janice Freeman, passed away due to pulmonary embolism. This was confirmed in her death certificate, which reached public knowledge yesterday.
An additional health problem that contributed to Janice’s death was lupus; a sickness she has been openly battling.
Janice passed away last March 2 and was buried on the 18th in a cemetery in Whittier, CA.
After her passing, her family confirmed that the stars tragic death was because of “an extreme case of pneumonia” and a blood clot which reached her heart. A post on her Instagram said:
“We are heartbroken to report that Janice Marie Freeman passed away on March 2, 2019, from an extreme case of pneumonia and a blood clot that traveled to her heart. While at home her husband Dion performed CPR until the ambulance arrived. She passed away at a local hospital shortly after.”
The post continued:
“A survivor and fighter, and a beautiful force in this world, Janice gained notoriety through her success in NBC’s The Voice as a member of Miley Cyrus’s team. Her story inspired fans nationwide, having successfully battled cervical cancer and living her life to the fullest while fighting lupus. Her friends and family greatly appreciate your prayers, call, and texts during this time, and ask that they be given space to remember everything that Janice was to them as they process and mourn her loss. She is survived by her husband Dion, daughter Hannah, her mother Janice, brothers and sisters, and many extended family.”
Miley Cyrus performed during her memorial as she mentored and rooted for Janice during the show. The famous "The Voice" judge dedicated a series of posts to the late singer, including one that said:
“I miss you so much it hurts. Everywhere… but so did you. So often. So much main and no one would ever notice because of the smile and joy you constantly radiated. I am trying my best to celebrate your existence but I can’t help but just deeply mourn over your absence. All those texts I would receive, just of you saying that your praying for ME. How you were so selfless I’ll never understand.”
Miley continued to praise Janice’s beautiful soul, as she added:
“The way you found the good in everything. You are now a rainbow. Something beautiful that comes after something so gloomy. You were the only artist EVER, that I tried so hard to “sign”, was going to create a label just so YOU could be on it. No one has heard them and I hope to share at an appropriate time, but the records you were creating with @brandicarlile (where it all began , the story ) and my dear writer friend @ilsey were so magically beautiful JUST LIKE YOU…”
Among the stars who Janice has gotten to know, Miley is one who saw talent and potential in her. They both formed a bond, which is why her death has deeply affected Miley.
In Janice’s passing, Miley also promised to take care of her daughter. In a separate Instagram post, she said:
“... I made a promise to you here on earth and will keep that promise as you watch from heaven. To take care of your precious little girl, my baby sister. To shine light on your husband and mother when days are dark ! I love you”
Janice was one who worked hard and wanted to find success in the music industry for her daughter Hannah. She competed the 13th season of "The Voice", where she was recruited to be on Miley’s team.
Many people mourn as the world lost a talented and kind soul. Different stars and people in the music industry also paid tribute to the passing of Janice Freeman.
