Iconic Sidney Poitier Has an Incredible Grown-Up Daughter Who Looks like Him

Hollywood icon Sidney Poitier’s daughter does not only share his famous name but also has a striking resemblance to her legendary father.

Sidney Tamiia is one of the two daughters of the power couple, Joanna and Sidney Poitier. Taking after her beautiful parents, Tamiia has grown up to become a gorgeous young woman.

She shares similar facial features with her famous father and the resemblance is really surprising.

And showing the close bond that she shares with her father, the actress recently took to Instagram to pay him a tribute on the occasion of his 92nd birthday.

Tamiia posted a smiling photograph of Poitier and wrote a sweet caption, “92 and as bright and beautiful as ever. Happy birthday to my Dad, my mentor, my friend. I love you so much it’s ridiculous.”

Besides appearance, Tamiia also seems to have inherited the immense acting talent that Poitier possessed.

Following in the footsteps of her father, as well as her mother, she started her acting career in the late 90’s after having previously studied acting at Stella Adler Studio of Acting and New York City University.

Her career took off with a few minor television roles in shows including “Joan of Arcadia” and “Veronica Mars.” She also made an appearance in the movie “Grindhouse” directed by Quentin Tarantino.

The talented actress’ beauty was further recognized by People magazine in 2001, when the news outlet enlisted her in its “50 Most Beautiful People.”

Despite being big names in Hollywood, the Poitiers seem to adhere strongly to family values and share great connection with one another.

Their great bonding was evident during the icon’s 90th birthday as well, when the entire Poitier family had gathered together to celebrate the occasion at his Beverly Hills resident.

During the private bash, four generations of Poitier family also posed for an epic photo, which was shared by The Hollywood Reporter.
