Apollo Nida, the incarcerated ex-husband of Phaedra Parks will be released earlier than expected, according to court documents obtained by the Blast.

Nida, who was sentenced to 96 months in prison in 2014 for bank fraud and identity theft will only serve 84 months instead.

The decision to reduce his sentence was signed off by a federal judge and read,

“The defendant’s sentence is hereby reduced to 84 months of imprisonment with credit to be given by the Bureau of Prisons for all time served. All other terms of the sentence imposed by this court on July 8, 2014, shall remain unaffected by this order.”

Currently serving time in New Jersey federal prison, Fort Dix FCI, Nida is expected to be released by August 2020.

Parks, his ex-wife, is currently taking care of their two sons, Ayden, 8 and Dylan, 5. She filed for divorce in October 2014 after a five-year marriage. Their divorce was only finalized in July 2017 due to a bitter battle over spousal support and the division of their properties.

Upon his release, Nida is expected to tie the knot with his fiancé, Sherien Almufti. The pair were engaged in 2016 while the 45-year-old was serving time in prison. Suspicions were high that they were already in a relationship even while Nida was still married to Parks.

Meanwhile, Parks has moved on from that marriage and is now reportedly dating radio DJ Tone Kapone. The 38-year-old confirmed this to his listeners in January by saying, “Yes, me and Phaedra are dating.” Phaedra downplayed its seriousness when she told Us Weekly the following month that they were taking things slow.

“I’m not rushing into [marriage], you know, but I’m very fond of him and we adore each other. He’s] a great guy. He’s super supportive. He’s everything I’ve prayed for and more.”

This revelation doesn’t mean the couple isn’t making every moment count. They’re often photographed together in Parks’ social media. Their most recent outing was on St. Patrick’s Day when the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star referred to Kapone as her good luck charm to caption the photo she shared.
