Body Language Expert Analyzed Photos of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew Together
Royal watchers have always had a hard time understanding the nature of the relationship between the two after they divorced in 1996. Rumors about them reviving their romance have grown stronger recently.
It is no secret to anybody that the Duke and Duchess of York, despite being divorced for more than 20 years, have always kept a special bond and have preserved the unity of the family they built together.
But after the wedding of their younger daughter Princess Beatrice in 2018 the rumors of the two having reconnected romantically have resurfaced, after the two sat together and looked like they were trying too hard not to pay too much attention to one another, raising suspicion among fans.
SHE DENIES IT
“So many people have asked me [if we are going to remarry], but we’re so happy with the way we are right now,” 60-year-old Ferguson told Daily Mail less than a month after the wedding, addressing the insisting rumors for the first time.
“We enjoy each other’s company; we allow each other to blossom. I know it sounds like a fairy tale but that’s the way we are,” the mother-of-two said at the time.
Unsurprisingly, her ambiguous words have done little to convince the royal fans about Ferguson and Prince Andrew reviving the spark of their relationship, and a recent family trip to Bahrain has given fuel to the rumor.
Not even an official statement released by a spokesperson for Ferguson explaining that, “the Duke and Duchess of York continue to be good friends and nothing has changed in their relationship” has changed the wishful thinking of the fans.
The former couple has gone long ways in their post-divorce relationship, and the days when Andrew reportedly couldn’t stand to be in the same room with his ex because she had “brought shame” to the Royal Family are a thing of the past.
THE OPINION OF AN EXPERT
Body language expert Judi James has joined the public discussion on the subject to try to put her expertise to use and shed some light on the matter, sharing her analysis of pictures of Ferguson and Prince Andrew during the weekend together.
“There’s a more relaxed air than you’d normally expect from a divorced couple in these poses, but then Andrew and Fergie have always been quite an extraordinary pair of ex’s,” James told Express.
“Fergie has been keen to rubbish rumors she is set to get back with Andrew but her behavior can seem contradictory at times.”

“There’s something about both their body language here that makes them look like any normal close family on an outing together, but for me the biggest cue or hint of Sarah’s inner feelings could be revealed in her choice of dress,” James revealed.
“With her retro above-the-knee fit and flare skirt and bomber jacket Sarah has dressed very much in the style of the girl she was when Andrew first fell in love with her,” the expert said.
“She seems to be reminding Andrew that she’s still the same fun, confident, extrovert woman here,” James added, leaving open the possibility of Ferguson trying to send a message to her former husband.
FERGUSON’S UP AND DOWNS IN THE ROYAL FAMILY
Although Ferguson now describes her relationship to Andrew as a “fairy tale,” their marriage of ten years ended in a scandal after the former was photographed in compromising attitudes in the company of her alleged lover John Bryan.
The former couple has gone long ways in their post-divorce relationship, and the days when Andrew reportedly couldn’t stand to be in the same room with his ex because she had “brought shame” to the Royal Family are a thing of the past.
It is a fact that Ferguson was banned from appearing alongside the Royal Family in any private or official event for many years.
She couldn’t even spend Christmas with her daughters during that time, and she had to watch them on TV instead as the girls joined the Royals at Sandringham for the holidays.
Even Queen Elizabeth seems to have forgiven Ferguson prior to Princess Eugenie wedding, as pictures of Ferguson attending the Royal Ascot in June 2018 as part of the Queen’s circle and curtsying to the 93-year-old monarch seem to prove.
The Duchess appeared in the official Royal Family picture taken during the wedding, and she stood right next to 97-year-old Prince Philip on one side, with Prince Andrew on the other.
It was the first time Ferguson was seen in a picture from a formal Royal Family gathering in 27 years.
