Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew Still Share a Close Bond 25 Years after Divorce
Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew went through a publicized divorce but are now on good terms and living in the same household. Here's a look at their relationship.
Ever since the couple's infamous divorce, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, both 61 years old, have remained friends and continue to have a close relationship.
In fact, they still live in the same house at the Royal Lodge. According to Ferguson, she and Andrew are happily divorced and continue to act like family. Their home is quite big as well, allowing a comfortable life together under the same roof despite their divorce.

EARLY YEARS TOGETHER
Ferguson and Andrew met through a mutual friend, the late Princess Diana. During the Royal Ascot in 1985, Ferguson came under Diana's recommendation, and it was there that she and Andrew connected.
Diana pushed for a romantic relationship between the two and invited them to her country house, and soon, the chemistry was felt. On February 19, 1986, Andrew proposed to Ferguson with a custom-made oval-cut Burmese ruby.
In July of the same year, the couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey and soon welcomed their two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
FAMILY LIFE
Even though they managed to raise their children well, the couple often spent time apart. Andrew's role in the Royal Navy sent him far away from home and left the two with around 40 days together per year.
Naturally, they drifted apart, and in 1992, the pair legally separated. Later that year, a scandal surfaced as photos of Ferguson with John Bryan, an American businessman, were revealed to the public.
The scandal left Ferguson estranged from the royal family. Things later became better as Ferguson made amends with her ex-husband's family. She also managed to live amicably with Andrew.
SUPPORTING EACH OTHER
When Andrew was promoted Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards and made his public debut in his new position at the Trooping the Colour celebrations back in 2018, Ferguson supported him.
Ferguson couldn't hide her pride during the occasion, and she affectionately shared it with her fans on Instagram. "Very proud of @hrhthedukeofyork Colonel of the Grenadier Guards," Ferguson captioned a series of photos where Andrew was seen performing his newest Royal duties.
Her caption, on which she also mentioned the two daughters she shares with her ex-husband, was seen as a sign of a possible romantic reunion between the former lovers.
POSSIBLE RECONCILIATION
Since Andrew and Ferguson have stayed on good terms through the years, fans wonder about the possibility of reconciliation and possibly another marriage. However, in a 2018 interview, the princesses' mother hinted that what they have is enough.
Although their setup is unique, the former couple is happy with each other's company and is delighted to support each other in such a manner. Ferguson continued to praise her ex-husband and call him an amazing man.
Andrew also answered if they would marry again in an interview and said: "No. We are both in a better place. It’s because we are in a better place which is probably why we are able to remain such close friends."
In previous years, Ferguson and Andrew raised their two beautiful girls while co-parenting together. However, Beatrice and Eugenie are now full-grown adults with their own families.
Recently, Princess Eugenie became a first-time mother with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. The birth of their son made Ferguson a grandmother and kept her excited about her new role.
