Former CBS News Producer Terry Martin Dies at 75
Terry Martin, who worked as a producer at CBS News for more than three decades, passed away on April 1 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
As his family announced, the man died in Greenwich, Connecticut at 75 years of age.
During his career, he played an important role in different shows of the TV network as he served as an associate producer of “CBS Morning News” and senior, associate, and later producer of weekend editions of “CBS Evening News.”
Martin began his career in journalism in 1966 when he started working at the New Brunswick, N.J., Daily Home News. He later got a job at CBS News Radio. Throughout his life, the producer won four Emmy Awards. Finally, after being active for 34 years, he retired in 2005.
Martin is survived by his wife, journalist Lynne Jordal Martin; their daughter, Marin; and his brother, Thomas. His memorial service is expected to take place on April 13, at Christ Church Greenwich.
