Popular actress, Sara Gilbert revealed that she planned on exiting the CBS talk show, “The Talk,” in an emotive speech during a recent episode. Sara said:
“This is something that I have been struggling with for a while and going back and forth, but I’ve decided that it’s time for me to leave the show at the end of this season,”
Sara, who’s the creator of the TV show, has also been the host of the show for the last nine years. The 44-year-old’s announcement was met with massive love and encouragement from her friends, well-wishers, and family.
A notable person that wasted no time in supporting Sara’s decision is Melissa Gilbert, Sara’s elder sister. Shortly after Sara’s announcement, Melissa revealed how she adores her sister and supported her decision in a motivational tweet. Melissa remarked:
“I love my baby sister @THEsaragilbert so much. I am so incredibly proud of her. She created an incredible show in @TheTalkCBS.”
She further disclosed;
“I know that this, for her, may feel like an ending but I also know, with all my heart, that this is really the beginning. Just watch!”
During Sara’s touching speech, she explained that she loves hosting the show and that leaving the talk show at this time is extremely difficult for her. She added that her decision to participate in the new series, “The Conners,” also influenced her resolution to exit the show. The media personality also made it clear that she needs some personal and family time.
“If I’m being honest about it, I think my life was slightly out of balance, and I wasn’t able to spend as much time with my three kids as I’d like, or time for myself.”
According to reports, fans of “The Talk” are already making inquiries about who Sara Gilbert’s replacement will be, and some potential hosts have already been nominated.
Some viewers nominated Carnie Wilson, a frequent guest Co-host, to take over from Sara, while others prefer Jodie Sweetin (another familiar character), since her sitcom, “Fuller House” is already coming to an end.
