The video shows the Wilsons cuddled up in bed as Wilson announces happily:

“Seattle. We got a deal. I’ma see y’all in the morning. Time for y’all to go to bed.”

“Go Hawks!” Ciara and Wilson echo before wishing fans a “good night.”

According to The Washington Post, the Pro Bowl quarterback gave the Seahawks until midnight on Monday to work out a new deal as his previous four-year deal, signed in 2015, would expire at the end of next season.

Wilson’s new deal also spans four years, so it runs through 2023, Fox News reports. It includes a $65 million signing bonus, a no-trade clause and $107 million in guaranteed money.

Wilson’s annual earning comes to $35 million and breaks the previous record set by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers at $33.5 million per annum.

According to The Guardian, Wilson’s agent, Mark Rodgers, said:

“Russell’s goal and his hope was that he would continue his career with the Seahawks and continue to bring championships to this town. He believes there is still unfinished business and he is looking forward to pursuing that without having to worry about contracts and his future.”

“Russell loves this town, this team, and these fans,” Rodgers added while speaking with the Seattle Times on Tuesday.

STELLAR RECORD

Since entering the NFL in 2011, Wilson has been one of the best players, with a career record of 75-36-1, per CBS News.

He reportedly threw 35 touchdown passes and had seven interceptions last season, leading the Seahawks to an NFC Wildcard game against the Dallas Cowboys where they eventually lost. Wilson has also never missed a game since taking the reins in 2012 and Seattle has had a winning record in each season since.

CI CI'S SHOUT-OUT

Ciara, 33, took to Instagram to heap praises on her man after news of the record-breaking deal surfaced.

“I watch you put everything on the line every Sunday in pure amazement,” she wrote, alongside a picture of Wilson. “Your dedication, consistency, and commitment to the game never wavers.”

The “Level Up” singer added:

“You’re always the first person in, and the last person out. You’re 1 of 1. The hardest working man I know! So proud of you baby! Giving God All the praise.”

THE NEXT GENERATION

The couple tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their daughter, Sienna, in 2017. They also raise Future Jr., Ciara’s son with rapper, Future and it appears the four-year-old is following in his stepdad's footsteps.

Wilson cheered on last month as Future Jr.’s team played and won their first official football game and he shared the proud moment on social media.

The football star also warmed hearts when he opened up in March about learning the meaning of real love from his relationship with Future Jr. He spoke with pride about taking Future Jr. “to Little League practice,” and it wasn’t difficult to see the love Wilson has for his step-son.

In all, Wilson sounds like a well-rounded man who deserves to be the NFL’s highest-paid player. Congratulations, Russell Wilson!
