DWTS Fans React to Jenna Johnson's Wedding Dress

The DWTS star got married to her fellow star of the show, Val Chmerkovskiy, but fans of the show were left disappointed with her wedding dress and let their feelings known on Twitter.

Dancing with the Stars belle, Jenna Johnson got married to her beau, and fellow show pro-dancer, Val Chmerkovskiy on April 13 at the Terranea Resort, California. Known for her ravishing beauty, the elegant Jenna was all smiling on her happy day.

Her wedding dress was modern and stylish. It was made with features of sheer, as well as a high neck and long sleeves. Though she looked great, her dress didn’t win her any favors amongst fans of the show who shared their distaste on Twitter.

Notable tweets among disgruntled fans, some felt that the dress made the beautiful star less beautiful while others labeled the dress as being hideous.

Another tweet pointed out that the gown looked like it was a pattern cut and sewn together, while yet another tweet wished the gown could be more beautiful and elegant.

Though many fans didn’t like the dress, a friend of Jenna, Peta Murgatroyd loved it and said the dancer looked like a goddess in it. Jenna also said that her experience while shopping for the dress was both magical and a dream come true. Different strokes for different folks you may say.

The wedding was graced by several pro dancers and former DWTS contestants such as Rippon, Laurie Hernandez, Nikki Bella, Normani, Peta Murgatroyd, and more. The couple enjoyed their "first dance" in front of over two hundred friends and family at their wedding reception.

The couple is so used to dancing together on the dance show, though choreographed, their wedding dance was passionate, slow and unrehearsed. The happy bride said she had always wanted a slow dance with her beau and said they intended to keep their dance genuine as people would have expected a choreographed dance.

Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable and very romantic dance. Jenna and Val’s union is one that crosses cultural boundaries, as she is American while Val is Ukrainian. They did their best to infuse their cultural traditions during their ceremony. Here is to wishing the sweet couple a happy married life.
