Eva Marcille Reveals Abuse She Endured from Ex Kevin Mccall While Pregnant
Eva Marcille is opening up about allegedly suffering domestic violence at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Kevin McCall while she was pregnant with their daughter, five-year-old Marley Rae.
Last month, fans watched as Marcille claimed on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” that her ex was abusive. McCall promptly denied the claims, insulting Marcille in the process, but only last week, he was arrested for domestic violence.
PREGNANT & ABUSED
Following reports of the arrest, Marcille, 34, made an appearance on “The Rickey Smiley Show” where she opened up some more about her experience with the rapper/producer.
“[The abuse] didn’t start for me until I was pregnant with Marley. And then about a month after having Marley, it didn’t stop; it got worse. And it got worse with her.”
“The final straw was when Marley was actually in my arms once,” the reality star further revealed as tears ran down her face. “I was like, ‘I can’t do this no more.’”
THE STRUGGLE TO OPEN UP
Confessing that opening up about her story was not an easy task, Marcille said she never thought she could be a victim of domestic violence.
“It took me a lot of time to even be able to get up the courage to talk about it because it’s embarrassing. Coming from where I come from and being as astute and courageous as I am, you always feel like, ‘it can never be me.’”
MCCALL'S ARREST
Marcille’s emotional interview came after news surfaced of her ex’s arrest over charges of “injuring a spouse or cohabitant.”
McCall, 33, faces up to four years in state prison, a fine of up to $6,000, or both. He was reportedly released from jail after posting $75,000 bond and is due next in court on April 30.
'I FEEL SORRY FOR THAT GIRL'
Hearing about the incident, Marcille expressed sympathy for the alleged victim.
“I feel sorry for that girl… I feel bad for women who have to deal with that. It’s actually not a laughable matter. It’s something that makes you feel so little so you don’t want to talk about it, but it really sucks. I hope that they keep his [expletive] in jail.”
STALKING ACCUSATIONS
Marcille first addressed McCall’s alleged abusive behavior last month during an episode of “RHOA.” The newcomer claimed that her ex, who she refers to as “Marley’s donor,” still stalks her and their family.
Marcille and her husband, Michael Sterling, have a one-year-old son named Michael Jr. and she claimed the family has had to move several times because of the stalking.
INSULTING THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILD
McCall wasted no time calling her out at the time, accusing Marcille on Twitter of using him for a storyline and slamming her with a derogatory term.
“It’s sad when she gotta keep using my name for her storyline. If I was the husband, I would be like ‘Real hoe of Atlanta is you out your mind, or is you still obsessed with your child’s Father?’” he tweeted. “‘Why is he in our storyline so much ain’t I enuff headline for our relationship?’”
McCall is yet to comment on reports of his arrest, but regarding Marcille’s emotional interview with Rickey Smiley, he told PEOPLE he’s “hurt that people believe lies so easily.”
