Adam Levine Could Lose His Entire Team before 'The Voice' Finale
Members of Team Adam in “The Voice” are gradually decreasing, and are down to four, in the Live Cross Battle, hence a possibility of Adam Levine losing his team completely before the finale.
With the conclusion of “The Voice” season 16’s Live Cross Battles, the odds have been stacked against coach Adam Levine, leaving his team with only four members, namely; Mari, Domenic Haynes, Betsy Ade, and Kalvin Jarvis.
As NBC’s show advances to its Top 24, the number of performers coming from each team is gradually reducing each week – with the effect of such eliminations most felt by Team Adam.
THE POSSIBILITY OF ELIMINATION
The coach faces the possibility of having the talents left of his team eliminated before the season finale. The chances aren’t slim as Levine is left with four contestants as compared to the other groups who have eight and six competitors left.
However, Team Adam still has a fighting chance to make it to the finale, given that fans are rooting for Ade, Mari, Haynes, and Jarvis to advance to the next round.
THE COMPETITIONS MECHANICS
This year’s “The Voice” season introduced a new round, as it debuted the Live Cross Battles in replacement of the Knockouts. Beginning with 32 contestants, each of the four coaches – Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, John Legend, and Blake Shelton – will have the privilege to play their ‘best hand’ as they each select a performer from their respective rosters to face off against the opposing team’s best bet.
The reality of having no stake in the show is nothing new to Adam as he had already experienced the same in the show’s previous season.
For the very first time in the show’s history, performers will have no clue as to who they will be showcasing their talent against. In alteration of the previously practiced Battle Rounds where skills of the same team perform duets, each selected performer will complete an individual song.
Only until then will the show’s viewers be able to vote as to who becomes the victor of each Cross Battle. With the vote of America playing a vital role in each contestant’s fate, Team Adam faces pressure as the show’s viewers were inclined to performers of the opposing teams.
Initially, the Maroon 5 vocalist’s team entered this phase of the competition with a total of eight singers, only to be left with half as the contest progressed.
MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION
This begs us all to ask the million dollar question as to whether the longstanding coach may come out empty handed in this year’s “The Voice.” The reality of having no stake in the show is nothing new to Adam as he had already experienced the same in the show’s previous season. Despite last year’s outcome, the singer-songwriter stays tuned in to the rest of the performances.
Adam’s experiences this season has certainly not shied away from imminent pressure as he also experiences backlash from The Voice fans with his awkward moment with fellow coach Blake Shelton.
It is a customary practice of both to bicker during each episode, but fans believe that Adam’s humor has crossed the line in one of their recent exchanges.
Unlike the usual giggles from the crowd, in response to Levine’s sly throw’s at Shelton, his recent hit resulted in awkward silence and online hate, calling him out for his mean ways.
