Arnold Schwarzenegger's Daughter Reportedly Celebrated Bridal Shower
Katherine Schwarzenegger, the eldest daughter of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, celebrated a traditional and intimate bridal shower over the weekend. Oprah Winfrey was part of the guest list, according to reports.
The model and “Avengers” superstar Chris Pratt, announced their engagement in January, and it seems like the couple is now gearing up for their big day, and the celebrations have begun.
A RUSTIC-CHIC VIBE
Katherine’s lavish and intimate bridal shower was hosted at her mother Maria Shriver's home over the weekend. Among the guests, there was Oprah Winfrey, who has been Maria’s friend for years, plus Katherine’s model friend Abby Champion and TV personality Whitney Port.
A source told E! News that Katherine “looked stunning in a white skirt and fitted tank top with beaded fringe. Her hair was clipped back on one side."
The event consisted of a “backyard luncheon” by the poolside where guests enjoyed a wide arrange of dishes and desserts “buffet-style.”
The whole place was decorated with candles and flowers, and the aesthetic was reportedly "white and light green with lots of greenery and some pastel colored wildflowers.” The tables and chairs were wooden, going for a rustic chic vibe.
There were cherry blossoms arrangements and pictures of Chriss and Katherine at the entrance, and a guitar player setting the mood while the guests mingled around.
TIME FOR SPEECHES AND GROOM’S VISIT
Once the lunch was finished, it was time for speeches. Maria Shriver took the mic to honor her daughter talking about how she was “born to love and be loved.” Some of Katherine’s friends and sister also took their turns at the mic.
At one point, Arnold Schwarzenegger made an appearance at the place after attending his son’s Joseph Baena’s college graduation.
Pratt also arrived at the celebration a few hours later, and Maria made sure to introduce him to the crowd as “Katherine's husband to be and future fiancé.” She also reportedly told everyone that the way Pratt treats her daughter “takes her breath away."
According to the source, later in the day, Jason McGee and The Choir serenaded the bride and groom. The full choir sang several songs including “Oh Happy Day,” and “All You Need Is Love.”
In general, the celebration was described as “very traditional and exactly what you would imagine for a classic bride."
ARNOLD TALKS ABOUT HIS FUTURE SON-IN-LAW
Schwarzenegger and Pratt started dating last summer and were spotted on several public outings since then. However, they made their red carpet debut at the “Avengers: Endgame” premiere in Los Angeles last week.
Arnold, 71, recently sat down with Mario Lopez on "Extra,” where he shared his feelings on his future son-in-law for the very first time.

"That was really fantastic,” he said of the engagement. “She is so happy, they both are so happy. As I said to him, he is such a likable guy. I love Chris -- he's fantastic."
The former of California also revealed Pratt asked for his approval to propose to Katherine. "He did it the traditional way," Arnold explained and added:
"He's a wonderful guy. They both look great together, and they're really happy together, so I wish them the best of luck."
Pratt, 39, divorced actress Anna Faris in 2018 after almost nine years of marriage. They share 6-year-old son Jack, who’s said to be pretty involved on his dad’s upcoming wedding, “possibly as a little groomsman,” according to an E! News source.
