Meghan Markle Gives Birth: It's a Boy!
Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed to the world their first child today, and it’s a boy!
Meghan, who was more than a week overdue, went into labor earlier today. According to a Buckingham Palace announcement, Harry was by her side.
The Prince himself announced the birth in front of TV cameras less than an hour after it was revealed that Meghan had gone into labor.
Even though the name was not shared, the couple's son weighed 7lbs 3oz. He added that both mother and baby were "doing well" and described it as an "amazing experience."
The gender of the baby was a surprise even for the parents as they chose not to find out that information until after the birth.
The baby Prince is seventh in line to the throne, after their father Harry and his niece and nephews Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The couple announced the pregnancy to family and friends at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle in October 2018.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
