Betty White Makes a Rare Public Appearance in a Charming Floral Blouse

One of Hollywood’s finest, Betty White charms fans in new photos as she looks appealing during an unusual public appearance.

The veteran celebrity is pushing 98, and her agility is still present. In an Instagram post by “Closer Weekly,” White looks quite the view as she is seen walking on the streets of Santa Monica.

In the released photo, Betty is rocking a floral print sky blue shirt with a matching pair of pants. Her accessories include a pair of gold ear studs as well as a simple gold necklace. She completed the outfit with smart looking black flats.

As the veteran celebrity is pictured moving around, her arm was held by an unknown man in a dark suit who could be her aide. The “Golden Girls” star hardly comes out in public and her recent appearance stirred appreciative comments from her large fan base.

Betty White enjoys a good dose of healthy living even as a senior citizen. The oldest Emmy awards winner gave an insight on the secrets of good living. She said:

“Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative… Try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside.”

The “Life with Elizabeth” star was born Betty Marion White in 1922. Her career longevity dates back to 1939. Betty once mentioned that although her memory of her TV debut is shaky, she remembers that she danced the “Merry Waltz” with a high school mate on TV.

While speaking on an interview with Guinness Book of World Records, White said:

“I danced on an experimental TV show, the first on the west coast, in downtown Los Angeles. I wore my high school graduation dress and our Beverly Hills High student body president, Harry Bennett, and I danced the 'Merry Widow Waltz”

With a career span of 70 years, the 97-year-old celebrity was dubbed 2014’s world record holder for “Longest TV Career For An Entertainer” in the female category.

Betty White was first married to Dick Barker in 1945 and also got divorced in the same year. She moved on with her career and got involved with Lane Allen in 1947. Theirs was a two-year union which ended after Allen made it known that he preferred her off the entertainment world.

Her third marriage was with TV host Allen Ludden whom she met on the set of “Password.” The two were together until Ludden passed on in 1981. Betty’s career is filled with many award-winning roles as she took on roles as an actress and hosted TV shows.

In showbiz sphere, White has earned for herself five “Primetime Emmy Awards,” “American Comedy Awards,” “Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards” as well as a long list of others. White is fully involved in humanitarian works as she is most passionate about animals.
