Porsha Williams' latest special, "Porsha's Having a Baby," finally provided fans with the real reason the reality star delayed her marriage to fiancé Dennis McKinley.

Since their engagement in October 2018, Williams' friends and family have been anticipating a wedding date for the (usually) happy couple. Williams appeared to be putting off the event and fans wanted to know why.

In the special, Williams' mother-in-law was given an answer. It had to do with the 37-year-old's tiny bundle of joy who was only just born in late March.

Speaking to McKinley's mother, known as Mama Gina, Williams said:

“I didn’t postpone a wedding cause I’m unsure. I postponed a wedding because I’m pregnant. We put that on hold. I’m pregnant so I don’t want to deal with nothing that has to do with stress."

Williams welcomed daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley on March 22. Just over a month old now, she already has her own Instagram page and is a regular on her mother's social media.

Williams explained:

“We put that on hold. I’m pregnant so I don’t want to deal with nothing that has to do with stress. I originally wanted to get married before I had baby PJ. But Dennis and I haven’t really gotten into the nitty gritty of the prenup. Now I don’t think it’s the time. We should be concentrating on PJ.”

Mama Gina disagreed. She urged Williams to get married in order to have an "equal playing ground" between her and her fiance. She suggested they "have a private ceremony and get married" before having "a formal to-do."

Williams' response was abrupt. "We ain't having a shotgun wedding," she told her mother-in-law. Addressing whether or not she wanted to be a "baby mama or a wife," Williams reminded her that she's "already a fiancé."

She asked Mama Gina to end the conversation which she intended to pick up with McKinley. The latter also reacted by letting his mom know there were other factors involved preventing them from getting married just yet.

While it appears that baby Pilar has brought the couple even closer together than before, a nuptial agreement is often not a happy discussion to have. However, reports are that it will have to be done before the couple's New Year's Eve wedding.

Mama Gina will just have to wait until then and, like the rest of us, enjoy witnessing the sweet moments with little Pilar. The "Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Having a Baby!" special will conclude on Bravo on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
