Gayle King on Her UK Trip Hours before Meghan Markle Went into Labour
Gayle King opened about her UK Trip after CBS was the only foreign outlet given access to the Baby Sussex presentation.
It looks like Gayle King has more than earned her stupendous salary upgrade, as CBS was one of the three outlets allowed into Windsor Castle for the presentation of Baby Sussex on May 8, 2019.
CBS was the only foreign outlet to get a camera in for the baby announcement, but Buckingham Palace denies there was any special treatment despite as King's friendship with Duchess Meghan of Sussex.
"When I was in Windsor this past weekend because we're working on that royal special as you know, there was a rumor in the streets that the baby had been born."
GAYLE KING'S VISIT TO WINDSOR
King was visiting Windsor just hours before Duchess Meghan went into labor, but she did not get a scoop on the event.
King has hinted that her visit was related to her forthcoming 'royal special report.' It is believed that King interviewed the Sussex couple before the birth and that footage will be part of a CBS documentary.

SUSSEX BABY WAS BORN JUST HOURS AFTER GAYLE KING'S VISIT
King, who is a close personal friend of Duchess Meghan was a guest at her New York baby shower, and one of the lucky few to attend the Royal wedding in 2018. It looks as if she was also the last person to visit the former actress before she went into labor.

Buckingham Palace had announced that a Sky News team and a photographer from the Associated Press would be at Windsor for the Baby Sussex presentation and together would serve as a source for other media.
The last-minute decision to include CBS's camera crew shocked British media.

The special that King has touted is set to mark the Sussex's one year anniversary and is titled "Harry and Meghan Plus One" and will be aired exclusively on CBS.

Prince Harry has announced that he is partnering up with media mogul Oprah Winfrey on a documentary series focusing on mental health.
The Duke of Sussex, who is deeply committed to promoting awareness with regards to mental health issues will be partner, co-creators and executive producer of the series alongside Winfrey.
