Amy Schumer’s Ex Ben Hanisch Breaks Silence over Her New Baby with Husband Chris Fischer

Amy Schumer is now a mother; her ex-boyfriend, Ben Hanisch, finally shared what he thinks about her new status, and it's a testament to their relationship.

Ben Hanisch, is a furniture maker from Chicago, and many didn't know of him until he dated comedian and actress, Amy Schumer.

NOTHING BUT BEST WISHES

Since the news broke that his ex had given birth, many have waited for the furniture guy to speak up about Schumer's new status and happiness.Hanisch in an interview with "Life and Style" said he is happy for the new mother and her husband, Chris Fischer.

He added that the comedian would be a great mother, and although he does not have a personal relationship with Fischer, he is confident he is a "Great guy."

A COMPLICATED JOURNEY

Schumer gave birth to a boy — Gene Attell Fischer on Sunday night, and she shared the news with the world through an Instagram post.

The "I Feel Pretty" actress captioned a picture post of the new father leaning down to kiss her while she held the baby "… our Royal baby."

Gene is royalty to the comedian and her husband because apart from them being his parents, the 37-year-old went through a difficult pregnancy to have him.

Schumer throughout her pregnancy suffered from a severe case of morning sickness — hyperemesis and had to cancel the rest of her comedy tour due to complications from the condition.

Despite the challenging journey, the new mother enjoyed every bit of it, sharing updates on her social media, including standing on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Arts to take a picture before going to the hospital on Sunday.

A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

Schumer's friends and colleagues are confident that she'll make a great mother. Bridget Everett, 46, told "US Magazine" that the younger woman has a nurturing side and continually takes care of everyone around her.

She added that the first-time mother is meant for the role, and will do excellently as a mum. Others commented on her Instagram, writing that Gene is perfect, and "Better than the METS Gala."

ONCE UPON A LOVE STORY

The word "Perfect" describes the "Snatched" star's life with her husband. The two met in 2017 after she broke up with Hanisch. Her relationship with the later lasted for two years before they called it quits.

The actress met her ex on the dating app "Raya." He was her first match, and a picture of him with his grandma appealed so much to Schumer that she agreed to go on a date with the Chicago resident.

In an interview with "Marie Claire" at the time, she credits him as her first real boyfriend and even got to meet his friends and family.

However, things eventually didn't work out for them, but they've stayed friends, and Hanisch is currently dating, Janine Doherty.
