Tamron Hall Poses with Mom & Son, Thanks Her 'Village' in Mother's Day Tribute
Tamron Hall celebrated Mother’s Day with a photo of her rarely seen mom and infant son while penning a lengthy message to everyone who’s lent their support, including her other “kids.”
The former “Today” host, who announced the birth of her son Moses less than three weeks ago, took to Instagram to join the global celebration of mothers.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and those who help form the village it takes to raise a child,” Hall wrote alongside a picture of her mother, Mary Newton, adjusting baby Moses’ outfit.
It turned out Hall was not the only one stoked for the baby’s arrival. While finally sharing the news of her son’s birth...
“This picture was taken as my amazing mother helped dress my “Sonshine” for a special ceremony,” Hall added.
The renowned journalist continued to appreciate all those that have been there for her at some point and those to whom she’s played mom to in the past:
“Today I am a mom leaning on my friends who are Mothers. I also lean on the Aunties, Cousins, and incredible women who are not moms but give every ounce of love you can imagine to Moses. I relish the role of “play or second mom” to so many who have called me today and on this day in years past. You were my kids first, Baby Moses already knows he has to follow y’all.”
This will be the first Mother’s Day for Hall who previously had a tough time conceiving and only revealed that she was expecting in March when her pregnancy was 32 weeks along. In the same breath, Hall confirmed that she and her husband, Steve Greener, had married secretly.
The “Deadline: Crime” host also shared a funny video of herself dancing to the viral kids' song "Baby Shark" while raving about becoming a Mommy Shark really soon.
“Surprise, guys!” Hall, 48, gushed. “Can you believe it? I’m about to become a mommy shark very soon.”
It turned out Hall was not the only one stoked for the baby’s arrival. While finally sharing the news of her son’s birth late last month, the Emmy-nominated journalist told fans that her husband “can’t stop crying tears of joy.”
