Diana Ross & Daughter Tracee Ellis Celebrate Mother's Day with Sweet Photos

May 12 was mother's day, and a significant number of celebrities spent it celebrating their mothers as is the tradition. Tracee Ellis was no exception.

An essential number of famous figures celebrated their mothers by taking to social media platforms to show them off and shower them with words of love and respect.

46-year-old American actress took to Instagram to share two old photos of her famous singer mother, Diana Ross and herself as a little child.

The pictures can be considered rare treasures for they capture a very youthful Diana. The first shot has the great singer smiling happily at her baby daughter while the other appears to have been unplanned and has a toddler Tracee stealing looks at the camera while her famous mother, seated behind her, looked caught in a conversation.

Tracee, obviously aware of how important the photos are, captioned the post with a heartfelt message that reads:

“HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY ~ oh how i love you @dianaross.”

While many celebrated their mothers, Diana Ross is a proud mother herself and took particular time out to show off her five children on Instagram. The “I'm Coming Out” singer took to the social platform to share a photo of herself and her entire brood looking exceptionally stunning in chic outfits.

Looking so youthful you'd never believe she was 75 years old; the award-winning singer looked charming in a form-fitting sparkly dress while linking arms with her children. If you didn't know better, you'd think that Diana and her three daughters were sisters with the way they looked a lot like each other.

Diana accompanied the photo with a sweet message that reads:

“I have so much to be proud of...my best examples are my children.”

That joy is sure reciprocal as Tracee, a product of Diana's short-lived marriage to Robert Ellis Silberstein, once explained just how wonderful it has been to have such a legend as her mother.

“There's a way that my mom navigates her life and her own beingness and experience that is, as a reflection, empowering, and gives me the courage to make my own choices and live my own life as I would.” – Tracee Ellis

That is an excerpt from a CNN interview which had the “Girlfriends'” actress going to great lengths to talk about how her world-famous mother has hugely influenced every aspect of her life.
