Meghan Markle's Nephew Snaps His Ankle in a Drunken Brawl
Tyler Dooley, Meghan Markle’s nephew, sustained more severe injuries during an Oregon brawl than initially suspected.
With the Markle family regularly headlining, Meghan’s young nephew is no exception. On May 3, Tyler got injured during a drunken bar fight that broke out at the Wonder Bur Lounge in Grants Pass.
Police arrived at the bar at about 11:15 pm during a “large fight” that involved about 20 people, wherein Tyler got shoved to the ground, as reported by The Sun.
According to new reports, the cannabis farmer turned reality star’s leg injury is far worse than initially suspected.
During the scuffle when Tyler got shoved to the ground he broke his ankle badly, his attempts at walking failed as his shattered joint couldn’t sustain his weight.
Police reported Tyler to have been extremely drunk that evening and consequently did not react to the pain of his fractured ankle.
To prevent Tyler from worsening the break by trying to “walk it off,” police officers forced him to go to the nearest hospital by ambulance.
Witnesses added that Tyler then repeatedly bragged that he could afford the ambulance ride, as he reportedly said, "I have a Rolex. I can pay for this."
The Wonder Bur Lounge brawl broke out only two days before Meghan Markle gave birth to her and Prince Harry’s first child and son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
After the incident, Tyler told The Sun that he wasn’t involved with the fighting crowd. “I’m not a victim. The disturbance is completely separate from me," he said.
Tyler insisted that he did not get injured “during a fight” but also did not want to specify as to what his injury was at the time.
Meghan’s young nephew and Oregon native previously headlined last May when he visited London during the time of Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding.
He got caught in possession of a three-and-a-half-inch Buck knife which he claimed to have forgotten to be in his trousers.
“It was a complete accident. I’m a hunter and a fisherman, so I carry the knife around with me at home," he said according to Popculture. "I had no idea it was in my trousers when I was in London. We were in line at the club, and everyone was getting searched. I felt around and realized the knife was in my pocket, so I asked the security guy if he could hang onto it for me."
Tyler is the son of Meghan’s half brother Thomas Markle Jr. and has reportedly been estranged from his father for a long time.
Along with his mother, Tracy Dooley, Tyler founded a cannabis company in Oregon (where it's legal to grow) named Royally Grown. They even developed a unique strain in honor of his royal relative called “Markle Sparkle” which reportedly sells for $280 an ounce.
Meghan Markle, on the other hand, did some honoring of her own on Mother’s Day when she celebrated it as a mother herself for the first time. In celebration of the special day, she posted an intimate photo with Archie along with a touching message to mothers worldwide.
