Josiah Duggar & Wife Lauren Reveal How They Found out about Her Second Pregnancy

A Duggar family will soon have an adorable new member! After tragically losing their first child to miscarriage, Josiah Duggar and wife Lauren are expecting another child. The good news was announced through their Duggar’s official website.

The “Counting On” stars are thrilled about welcoming their new baby into the world. Duggar’s official website announced the news on May 20 in a blog post.

“We are so thrilled for Lauren & Josiah expecting! It was very difficult losing their first child in a miscarriage, but now God has blessed them with another child on the way,” the blog read. “This year we are going from 12 to 17 grandkids, soon they are going to outnumber our own kids, we are so grateful for each one of them.”

Josiah and Lauren shared how they found out about Lauren’s pregnancy in a video posted on the family blog. The to-be father revealed that he ran to the store for a pregnancy test at around 4 a.m. because he was “sure” that his wife was pregnant.

"I went to the store and got a test, because I thought for sure she was probably expecting and sure enough she was," he wrote on the blog.

Lauren further revealed how they both cried out of happiness after discovering that they were going to become parents again.

"We were both overjoyed and just crying because we're just so thankful for another sweet blessing."

The couple has decided that if their baby is a boy, Josiah will name him and if it’s a girl, Lauren will choose her name. As far as the baby’s gender is concerned, the couple hasn’t revealed if they have a preference.

Lauren and Josiah lost their unborn baby when Lauren went to the restroom after experiencing intense cramps one night.

“I was thinking maybe I had something that had gluten in it. It was late at night and I went to use the restroom and there was the baby. Gone. I couldn't believe it and I was hoping it wasn't true," she said.

We hope Lauren and her baby will be healthy in the days to come.
