Barnett and Tolbert said “I Do” on May 18, but the journalist only recently put up pictures from the event on social media.

In a multiple-image post, Barnett, 36, is seen wiping a tear from his bride’s face as she read her vows. The couple also shares a kiss in one photo while posing against the backdrop of the clouds in another.

'It rained hours before our wedding, then cleared up magically. Only just now am I realizing our luck'

Barnett gushed about their destination wedding in the caption:

“Wiping a tear from Ariana’s cheek as she read me her vows. Only now can I appreciate this moment, the expressions of our family and the surreal nature of it all. The rains, which are good luck when they clear out, did just that. And why did a crane, which is giving intense stork vibes, crash the ceremony?”

Alongside another set of pictures, Barnett revealed that it rained just before their wedding ceremony and pointed out how it all worked in their favor.

“It rained hours before our wedding, then cleared up magically,” wrote the British-American journalist. “Only just now am I realizing our luck with these pictures and the beautiful weather.”

Barnett and Tolbert, according to PEOPLE, tied the knot in front of family and friends at the Round Hill Resort in Montego Bay.

Even before then, the news reporter had been subject to rumors about his sexuality

“The happy couple are thankful to family and friends who flew from places as far away as England to be with them,” Barnett’s rep told the outlet.

The newlyweds reportedly chose Jamaica in honor of Barnett’s paternal grandparents who are natives of the country. Although they have since passed on, there was a memorial table at the wedding honoring them and Tolbert’s grandfather Otis from Arkansas.

Sabrina, Tolbert’s sister/maid of honor, doubled as the officiator while Barnett’s brother Danny served as best man.

The 25-year-old bride dazzled in a Pronovias Atelier custom-made, strapless dress with a detachable train while Barnett looked dashing in a blue suit.

“I am so lucky for the special day Ariana became my #wife,” he wrote, alongside a picture of his lovely bride. “She is an absolute stunner, and I am still buzzing.”

The news journalist never publicly addressed the speculations, but with news of his marriage...

Barnett and Tolbert have reportedly been dating since June of 2015, and even before then, the news reporter had been subject to rumors about his sexuality.

Besides the fact that he wasn’t very forthcoming with details of his personal life, Barnett once made a tweet seemingly in support of gay men, inadvertently fueling the gay rumors.

The news journalist never publicly addressed the speculations, but with news of his marriage, there seems to be no use for that anymore.

Congratulations to the new couple!
