Felicity Huffman's Daughter Sofia Reportedly Postpones College Plans Amid Admissions Drama

Sofia Macy, Felicity Huffman’s oldest daughter, will reportedly not be resuming college, an apparent result of the ongoing admissions scandal that has seemingly engulfed her family.

“ET Online” reports that Sofia has suspended all her plans to start college this year, her way of taking responsibility for the public scandal. The update comes soon after her father, Williams H. Macy, was spotted holding congratulatory balloons to celebrate her high school graduation.

It is quite admirable to find that the tight-knit family is making efforts to mark such an important milestone despite the legal troubles they currently face.

Fans have watched the scandal progress from Huffman getting listed as a part of the numerous parents that bribed their children's way into college to watching her plead guilty in court.

Last month April, the highly-feted actress broke down in tears as she admitted to all charges laid against her – mail fraud and honest services mail fraud – after authorities accused her of paying $15,000 to help get Sofia into a top-rated college by cheating on the SAT exams.

It was also during the court proceeding that Huffman absolved Sophia of any degree of participation in the crime claiming that the youngster was not aware of what she'd done to help her.

The doting mother then went on to reveal that Sophia, who will soon be celebrating her 19th birthday, has difficulty with learning and has been going for therapy since she was a little child. Huffman said:

“My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her. This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty."

Huffman's emotional display has been perceived to be one of great remorse by the court, fans and every avid observer out there.

Although she still faces imprisonment, sources have disclosed that the “Desperate Housewives” star does not regret pleading guilty and has instead, chosen to spend the little time she has before the sentencing with her beautiful family.

The most beautiful thing about the family is how supportive they have been of each other despite the delicate nature of the scandal. There is nothing more Huffman could wish for than that, and thankfully she has it as reports also explained that Sophia and Georgia, her two gorgeous daughters, hold no ill will towards her and their father.
