Alec Baldwin’s Wife Hilaria Slams Mom-Shamers for Judging Her over Baby Son Not Wearing a Hat

Hilaria Baldwin, the wife of Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin, had a message to mom-shamers after her 1-year-old son swam without a hat on.

Hilaria, 35, took to Instagram recently to share a video of her son Romeo's “first pool experience,” where his father Alec, 61, held him.

“There’s obviously things in the past … with her parents, they’ve suffered, and I don’t get involved in that."

Although most remarks were supportive, many ranted that he wasn’t wearing a hat to shield his hairless head from the sun.

“Stop about the hat. If you would like, I will invite you to my home, and you can try to both put a hat on him and have him keep it on. You will be my honored guest," Hilaria wrote.

The fitness guru added, “And OF COURSE he has sunscreen on. What is wrong with people that they expect the worst?”

The next day, Hilaria posted another video of Romeo who appeared to have a great time around the pool. The sweet footage shows the child splashing his feet in the water as his mother held him steady.

Hilaria and Alec welcomed Romeo in May 2018. The couple also shares Leonardo Ángel Charles, 2, Rafael Thomas, 3, and Carmen Gabriela, 5.

The "Mom Brain" podcast co-host is no stranger to parenting criticism when it comes to her kids.

In April, she clapped back at critics who said that she doesn’t mention Alec's daughter with ex Kim Basinger, Ireland, 23, in her posts as often as she does her four biological children with the actor.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Hilaria called the experience “super horrible."

“There’s obviously things in the past … with her parents, they’ve suffered, and I don’t get involved in that,” she said.

“I think that’s one of the smartest things I’ve ever done. I’m here, everybody knows that I love them and I care about them and if they need me I’m here, and I’m never going to put my nose where my nose doesn’t belong.”

Hilaria and Alec have been married since 2012. The year prior, Alec first met his wife while at a restaurant in New York City.
