Nicolas Cage & Erika Koike Reportedly Get Divorced after Three Months of Lawsuits

Nicolas Cage and Erika Koike's divorce reportedly went through, and the things he alleged about his ex-wife are unflattering.

Nicholas Cage is famous for having a successful movie career in Hollywood, but when it comes to making life choices, he is not the smartest person around.

In March, he married make-up artist Erika Koike at a Las Vegas chapel the same day he got a marriage license. Less than five days later, he filed for an annulment of the marriage, and the sordid details of their spur-of-the-moment union were revealed.

According to "TMZ," Cage alleged in court documents that he was seduced into the marriage, and his wife-of-four-days lied about her extensive criminal history and how far an ongoing relationship with a third party went.

The documents equally stated that at the time the two decided it was a good idea to marry, they both had a lot of alcohol in their system, and the actor alleged that it was Erika's idea for them to get married.

The make-up artist denied any fraud and countered the annulment by filing for divorce. She asked for spousal support, claiming she lost her means of livelihood while dating the "Face-Off" actor.

35-year-old Erika equally claimed that Cage's allegations destroyed her reputation, and she demanded that he pay the legal fees she incurred during the lawsuits.

After three months of going back and forth, a court in Nevada reportedly granted the divorce, not the annulment, but it is unclear if the make-up artist got her desire.

Cage and Erika's marriage hit the rocks immediately after they exchanged vows. They were seen fighting outside the Bellagio hotel in Vegas, and "TMZ" also captured them arguing minutes before the ceremony.

The criminal records alluded to are from the make-up artist's arrests in 2008 and 2011 for driving under the influence. She did not serve a prison sentence but had to do community service.

Cage's marriage to his recently divorced wife is his fourth. The "Con Air" actor had a relatively short marriage to Lisa Marie Presley in 2002 at a private ceremony in Hawaii. Three months after, they filed for divorce and went their separate ways.

In 2004, he married Alice Kim with whom he had a child, Kal-El, and before those two, he was married to Patricia Arquette from '95 to 2001.

The former couple is yet to comment on the divorce; they were together for a year before the ill-advised marriage.
