Chip and Joanna Gaines Finish Their Harvard Business School Course
Chip and Joanna Gaines are now proud to call themselves part of the Harvard family after completing a program at the prestigious Ivy League school.
The "Fixer Upper" stars got into the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS) program and successfully completed the one-week course. Joanna announced the news on her Instagram.
Starting with a picture of Chip, she shared a few photos including a group one and a couple of others with her and Chip standing next to the professor, Anita Elberse. The post is found below.
In the caption, she wrote:
"Course complete! School looks good on you @chipgaines #ChipForClassPrez"
Chip wore his Harvard sweater in all the pictures, except the last. The pile of snacks seemed to make up for that though, as people were happy to point them out.
In another post, Joanna celebrated the different types of individuals that came from all over who were able to listen and respect each other, allowing them to learn new things and add value to their lives.
The group photo included celebrities of various fields like Ciara, a singer, Eric Olsen, an actor, Oliver Kahn and Tim Cahill, a German and an Australian soccer player respectively, and Kevin Love, Luc Mbah a Moute, and Julius Randle, all NBA players.
Elberse was also excited to share photos to her own Instagram account. In one where all her students are clapping, Elberse said that she already missed them, her "heart is full," and she has the best job.
In posting the same group picture that Joanna did, she explained in the caption that the class "includes a number of people with careers that stand out even from the accomplished executives that normally fill our classrooms."
Chip and Joanna not only do interior design, restoration and the like but in April they were commended for also "making a difference in people's lives," as explained by Tim Tebow who paid tribute to them on television.
The couple was listed under "Times'" 100 Most Influential People of the Year for using their platform to enhance and improve the lives of others. In addition to their show, the pair hope to start their own TV network by 2020.
The home improvement team are now 16 years into the marriage and still going strong. They celebrated their anniversary late last month by exchanging tributes on social media.
Joanna's caption was as sweet as can be. "16 years and it feels like we're just getting started," she wrote. While Chip joked around in his. "Happy #16th anniversary Joanna! A.k.a. Jojo, joey, jo, boss, mom, mama, mommy, sweet girl, kiddo, My girl by any other name."
He added: "But my best day is still the day you officially became Joanna Lea Stevens Gaines!" They both said "I love you" in their posts. Joanna's also included an adorable half-candid picture of the two.
