The couple shared the devastating news on their Instagram accounts that their little boy, River Kelly Smith, lost his life following a tragic accident.

Furthermore, Smith revealed that he and his wife decided to donate his organs to children in need so that they can have a second chance at life.
“Riv was special. Everyone that met him knew that immediately. The joy he brought to our lives cannot be expressed and his light will be forever in our hearts. If there are words to say more, I cannot find them in this moment,” Smith continued. “Love the ones close to you. There has never been a more difficult moment for us than this.”
Smith and wife Kelly requested their wellwishers to send donations to Dell Children’s Medical Center in River’s name in lieu of flowers or gift.
The duo shares two other children, London and Lincoln Monarch.
Singers including Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Jake Owen, Chase Rice, and Dylan Scott took to the comments section to express condolences.
