Marie Osmond’s Adopted Daughter Jessica Blosil Marries Her Beautiful Partner Sara
Marie Osmond's daughter just got married to her partner and the entertainer expressed her joy for the unconventional partnership.
Jessica Blosil is one of Marie's five adopted children. The singer has eight children in all and clearly, she loves and accepts every one of them.
The 59-year-old posted a photo of Jessica, 31, getting married to her longtime partner, Sara. She shared three photos in all, including one of the legal proceedings that would make Sara Jessica's wife.
Marie herself is part of the long-running musical partnership alongside her brother Donny Osmond. They perform together in Las Vegas regularly.
In the first photo, Marie posed in between the two women. Everyone gave a toothy smile for the camera. The next two photos showed as a judge signed the marriage papers that would make the pair legally married.
In the caption, Marie wrote:
"Congratulations to my darling daughter Jessica and her new wife Sara! I’m so glad I got to fly in for the day to be apart of such a happy occasion! I could not love the two of you more! Welcome to our family!"
Based on everyone's outfits, the nuptials were not done in grand fashion. Jessica was in a grey sweater and Marie in a casual black and white ensemble.
Only Sara was in a brighter, red and white t-shirt that matched her colorful mo-hawk hairstyle. She's apparently been rocking it for a while as a photo from Marie from December also showed her with the style.
While Marie has experienced great loss — her son Michael died in 2010 — she's also been going through lots of excitement in her family. Late last month, she welcomed a new granddaughter.
Marie's 21-year-old daughter Brianna just got married last December. In May, she gave birth to a baby girl with her husband David Schwep. Little Maude Baily-Moon Schwep had to stay in the hospital after being born.
Marie asked fans for their prayers after revealing that the child was taken to the children's intensive care unit. As someone who has her own non-profit organization for children's hospitals, however, she put her faith in the medical authorities.
Marie shared a sweet black and white photo of the newborn along with the caption:
"So grateful to welcome my newest #granddaughter, Brianna & David’s first child Maude Bailey-Moon Schwep into the world [sic]. She is still in the hospital, but is doing very well! Thank you everyone for the prayers, it means so much to us!"
Marie's other daughters are Rachael, 30, and Abigail, 16. Her three remaining sons are Stephen, 36, Brandon, 22, and Matthew, 21. She had her kids with ex-husband Brian Biosil, with whom she split from in 2007.
Marie now has four grandchildren. It will be five when Rachael gives birth to her son in July. Marie's big family is a reflection of her own life — she grew up in Utah with eight siblings.
It's great to see that Marie's immediate reaction to her daughter is one of acceptance and respect. Way back in 2009, she reportedly did an interview with Los Angeles radio station KOST which confirmed her feelings.
Making the announcement that her daughter was a lesbian, she went on to call her a "magnificent woman" and dismissed false assumptions that she did not approve of her lifestyle. Apparently, it's all love on this side.
