Remy Ma Accuser Brittney Taylor Charged with Assault after Alleged Fight with Witness
Remy Ma's accuser, Brittney Taylor is now the accused as she becomes the subject of an arrest for assaulting a witness. The reality star previously filed charges against the rapper for allegedly giving her a black eye.
More drama unfolds on the side of Rema Ma’s accuser, Brittney Taylor. The “Love & Hip Hop” star has been arrested for assault just months after she filed charges against Ma for the same reason.
WOMAN TAKES A BEATING FROM TAYLOR
Taylor was arrested early morning on Friday for allegedly assaulting witness Dina Khalil inside her West 42nd Street apartment near 11th Avenue. According to Page Six, the reality star had been arguing with Khalil when she scratched the woman. The attack escalated after Taylor followed Khalil who fled to the elevator. They ended up in the lobby where the celebrity threw a cellphone at her opponent’s face.
Taylor was arrested shortly after the incident but was released without bail the same day, as reported by a Manhattan clerk.
TAYLOR ALLEGEDLY TAKES ONE FROM MA
Just a few months back, Taylor accused Ma of attacking her during a concert, a complaint which resulted to Ma turning herself to authorities on May 1. She was charged with third-degree assault.
Taylor claims she helped save Dejanae’s life during spring break in Miami but Ma refused to believe her version of the story resulting in her black eye.
Through her lawyer, Eric Sanders, Ma rejected a plea bargain which would have guaranteed reduced charges for her. She insisted she’s innocent with video surveillance footage to prove it.
THE STORY BEHIND THE ALLEGED ATTACK
The friction between Ma and Taylor reportedly stemmed from a situation involving Remy’s stepdaughter, Dejanae. She’s the daughter of the rapper’s husband, Papoose. Taylor claims she helped save Dejanae’s life during spring break in Miami but Ma refused to believe her version of the story resulting in her black eye.
MA DENIES INVOLVEMENT
Meanwhile, Ma’s lawyer denies his client ever being in the company of Taylor on the day she allegedly gave her a shiner. Taylor’s reported time of assault at a concert proved Ma was at home. She did perform at the concert earlier but was home when Taylor claimed she was attacked.
Only a court hearing will establish who’s telling the truth. The next one is in July.
