XXXTentacion's Friend C Glizzy Shot in Head a Year after His Death

C Glizzy, an up-and-coming rapper and friend of the late XXXTentacion, is currently in the hospital after being shot in the head.

The 16-year-old, whose real name is Christian Moore, was shot in the head by an unknown assailant on the night of Saturday, June 15, according to WPLG Local 10. The shooting occurred outside a convenience store in Pompano Beach, South Florida.

The situation is even scarier because Glizzy’s brother and friend who tried to rush him to the Broward Health North Hospital got into an accident with the car, according to the station.

The two reportedly lost control of their car and rammed it into a wall on an exit ramp on I-95.

Eventually, they made it to the hospital where Glizzy underwent hours of surgery to get the bullet out of his head. WPLG’s Madeleine Wright revealed hours later that Glizzy’s mom confirmed the teenager is heavily sedated.

"[C Glizzy’s] mom tells me he is heavily sedated and not talking right now, but she is expecting and hoping that he’ll survive the gunshot wound he sustained to the head. Someone opened fire on him as he was leaving a store on MLK Blvd. in Pompano Beach yesterday.”

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident, telling E! News: "Our violent crimes unit is investigating the incident. No further details are being released at this time."

Glizzy has over 70,000 followers on Instagram, where he keeps fans updated with his music as well as concert performances. He also has a throwback clip of himself and XXXTentacion rapping along to a song.

Glizzy’s shooting comes a few days shy of Tentacion’s fatal shooting on June 18, 2018, also in South Florida.

The rising rapper (birth name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy) was leaving a motorcycle dealership north of Fort Lauderdale when he was shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Tentacion was 20.

According to PEOPLE, four men have since been indicted on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges concerning Tentacion’s death.
