Bernie McGee’s Ex Brandy Reportedly Breaks Silence Following the 'Seeking Sister Wife' Star’s Death
The McGee's former potential sister wife Brandy is reportedly speaking out following the sudden death of Bernie.
In an interview with Radar Online, Bernie McGee's ex-girlfriend allegedly revealed that the family of the "Seeking Sister Wife" star is not doing well at all after their loss.
Brandy dated Bernie for a few months in hopes of eventually marrying into the family and joining Paige, Bernie's first and only wife at the time.
The two saw each other a few times until they eventually split some months back. Brandy reportedly divulged the state of the family.
"It's a very sad time," she told Radar. Regarding the family, she said, "they aren't doing well. It's definitely a very hard time." The family is dealing with both emotional and financial stress.
A GoFundMe page was set up to gain contributions for funeral expenses and to support the family. Following traditional roles, Paige was a housewife who taught their four children.
As per the page, "Bernie was the sole provider for the family." It also said that "Paige and [the] two younger boys are in shock, disbelief and terribly upset."
According to Pop Culture, Bernie was riding his bike when he contacted Paige and told her he "wasn't feeling well and to come pick him up. By the time [she] got there, EMTs were working on him, but [she] could already tell."
The coroner determined that Bernie died of "a heat stroke/heart attack." He passed away on June 15 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
TLC released a statement which read:
“Our hearts go out to the McGee family following the loss of husband and father Bernie McGee. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.”
Bernie's obituary describes him as someone who loved the outdoors and activities like hiking, camping, and biking. It also said "he loved his family and friends very much."
Paige and Bernie McGee were in season 2 of the reality show "Seeking Sister Wife." They had just lost their Mississippi home to a fire and began looking towards the possibility of practicing polygamy. It didn't work out.
