TMZ: Beth Chapman Not Expected to Recover
The 51-year-old television personality and bounty hunter, Beth Chapman, has been in a medically-induced coma since the weekend, and her chances of recovery are slim.
Chapman is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the Queen's Medical Centre in Honolulu. She was rushed to hospital over the weekend in what was initially reported as a choking episode.
Chapman was agitated and pulled at her intravenous tubes, making it very hard for doctors to assist her. It was later reported that Chapman experienced breathing difficulties.
According to TMZ, Beth's mother has since flown in from the mainland. In addition, her children and grandchildren are gathered around her hospital bed. TMZ added:
"Family sources say there's not a lot that can be done for Beth and at this point, and the family is making medical decisions with the help of her doctors."
Earlier today, her husband, Duane Chapman shared a photo of her perfectly-manicured hand, showing the restraints Doctors were forced to use. He wrote in the caption:
"You all know how she is about HER NAILS!!"
Beth and Duane are most famously known for their Hawaii-based bounty hunting and bail bonds business, as well as their reality TV show, "Dog the Bounty Hunter."
Beth battled stage four throat cancer two years ago. The cancerous cells returned, and Beth had a tumor removed in November 2018.
At the time of her hospitalization, Beth was battling stage two cancer, after deciding in May 2018 that she would not be receiving chemotherapy this time around.
