Khloé K. & Tristan Thompson ‘Not in Proper Relationship’ before Cheating Drama: Report
A source revealed that Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s relationship was already shaky before the latter was accused of cheating on her with Kardashian-Jenner family friend, Jordyn Woods.
When reports of Thompson hooking up with Woods broke out earlier this year, one of Kardashian’s first reactions – which she later retracted – was to accuse the model of breaking up her family.
According to what a source recently told PEOPLE, however, “family” may not have been an accurate description for what the reality star had with Thompson, with whom she shares 14-month-old daughter, True.
“When the Jordyn drama happened, Khloé and Tristan were not in a proper relationship. They had not been for weeks,” the outlet learned. “They didn’t even spend Valentine’s Day together, which was right before he messed around with Jordyn.”
DASHED HOPES
The insider added that even though Kardashian knew her relationship with the NBA player was on the rocks, she had been hopeful for a reconciliation, which made the scandal even more painful:
“It was very difficult for her to find out about Tristan and Jordyn. But this is what made her realize that Tristan would never change. It was heartbreaking for her. She always hoped there was a way things could work out because that’s what she wanted for True. She wanted True to live with both her parents.”
“She was very stressed out and angry with Tristan,” the source said of the effect of Thompson’s cheating scandal on Kardashian. “It made her physically ill. She was not in a good place.”
JORDYN WOODS' SIDE OF THE STORY
After news broke in February that Thompson and Woods – who was once best friends with Kardashian’s half-sister Kylie Jenner – were all over each other at a party in the basketball player’s house, Woods tried to set the record straight.
The 21-year-old claimed on Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk” that it was Thompson who kissed her and that she left his house immediately after.
ANOTHER SIDE TO THE STORY
During a recent episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” however, the reality star implied that Woods has been changing her version of what transpired on that fateful night.
According to E! News, Kardashian, 34, also pointed out that, amidst the mess, not once did Woods apologize for her actions.
"I'm not saying things can't happen. I'm the most understanding, calm person ever. But Jordyn…never once has Jordyn said, 'I'm sorry.'"
MOVING ON FROM THOMPSON
The “Good American” founder has since moved on from Thompson and remains focused on raising their daughter. The exes reunited for True’s first birthday party in April and appeared to be civil around each other, something Kardashian claims she does for the sake of their child.
“True is one-and-a-month old, so she doesn't really know what's happening, but to me, she does know, and she feels energy, and I'm a big believer of that,” Kardashian said last month on Laura Wasser’s podcast “Divorce Sucks!”
“So I do everything in my power to not put any sort of heavy energy around her,” she added.
