Actress and gospel singer Tamela Mann turned 53 on June 9, 2019, and celebrated that special day surrounded by her loving family.

Tamela has recently taken on a new challenge: healthy living, and displayed considerable weight loss in her birthday posts.

Tamela's daughter Tia posted a video on Instagram to celebrate her mom's 53rd birthday and starts off by showing Tamela's birthday cake with the candles announce her age as 35.

In the clip, Tamela blows out the candles surrounded by her family, and obviously enjoys the joke. Who doesn't like to drop a couple of decades off their age?

Tamela's husband David paid his own tribute to his lovely wife with a video clip in which he films her while in voice-over he jokingly describes her as a "hot cougar" who loves snacking on younger men like himself.

The Manns have raised 5 children together, David's daughters Porcia and Tiffany, from a previous relationship; their children David Jr and Tia; and Tamela's niece, Sonya.

Tamela has joined a promotion for WW which offers multiple products and services that focus on weight loss, maintenance, and fitness.

Tamela has also embraced the WW concepts in her cooking show, "Hanging with the Manns."
