Jennifer Lopez Reveals She Felt a 'Weird Electricity' the Day She First Met Alex Rodriguez
In a recent interview, multi-talented artist Jennifer Lopez opened up about the first time she met her fiance Alex Rodriguez, saying she felt "weird electricity."
Lopez and Rodriguez, who were both married at the time, met at New York's Shea stadium in 2005. During the interview with Sports Illustrated, the "I'm Real" singer revealed that she felt a "weird electricity" when she first shook Rodriguez's hand.
“Actually, it was good game, because it was very unexpected and it was super flattering."
"We shook hands, and it was this weird electricity for, like, three seconds," said Lopez. “Three to five seconds of looking at somebody right in their eyes, and getting stuck.”
The songstress was with her then-husband Marc Anthony at the time, attending a subway series game at Shea Stadium.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez, 43, who played for the Yankees, was still married to ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
“Actually, it was good game, because it was very unexpected and it was super flattering,” the award-winning singer and actress told Sports Illustrated. “I wasn’t dressed very sexy.”
In 2017, Lopez and Rodriguez met once again, and this time they were both single. The two then started dating soon after.
In March 2019, they announced their engagement. The couple couldn't help but show off Lopez's diamond engagement ring. As per the gems master, the ring is “estimated at around $1.4 million.”
The former MLB star proposed to Lopez, who is regarded as the most influential Latin performer in the United States, during an amorous getaway in the Bahamas.
Lopez has shared photos on social media of herself bonding with her two children, 11-year-old twins, Max and Emme, and Rodriguez’s two daughters, Ella, 11, and Natasha, 14.
A source already reported that the children would be a "huge part" of the couple's upcoming wedding. According to the source, the couple is "still all about their family with the four kids."
