Kate Gosselin's Daughter Speaks Frankly about Her Mom’s ‘Trust Issues’ 10 Years after Her Divorce
Twin daughter of reality TV star, Kate Gosselin, Mady spoke about her mother’s venture into the dating game after ten years of being single since her divorce.
Mady Gosselin, in an interview with producers of her mom’s reality TV show, “Kate Plus Date,” expressed her apprehension over the star’s decision to find love again.
She explained that her mom had difficulty trusting people since her marriage ended with Jon Gosselin over issues of his unfaithfulness. She said:
“Everything that she has been through has created a lot of trust issues.”
The teenager, however, believes that despite the trust issues, her mom is emotionally fit enough to get into a relationship, once she finds the right man, even if it means “sucking it up and getting started before she gets comfortable.” She added:
“She is doing this, and wants to be happy, and that comes with some sacrifices.”
KATE FEELS THE SAME WAY
In one of the episodes of “Kate Plus Date,” the reality TV star told her new matchmaker that although she still believed in love, her perception of people has changed since her bitter divorce.
She attested that this new perception was the heart of her trust issues because she now finds it difficult to meet a new person and be impressed by their actions or personality. Questions about Genuity will always arise, in terms of whether the person is sincere, or is simply saying what she wants to hear.
THE EXPERT'S OPINION
Her matchmaker, whom she hired after firing the former one for setting her up with “the wrong dates,” does not appear to be pleased by her reservations.
While trying to convince the single mom to be more open about her past relationship, he buttressed that she was scaring off prospective partners on the first dates.
He also mentioned that the star was giving them the impression that she is evasive. The mother of eight had something to say in her defense:
“I don’t want to do that because it just speaks to me not being genuine and real, which is not the case at all.”
This is not the first time the twins have showed support for their mom’s love affairs. Right after the new series, “Kate Plus Date” premiered in early June, Mady expressed her happiness over the 44-year-old’s decision to love again.
Mady and her twin sister Cara have been an incredible pair behind the success of “Kate Plus Date,” and they are determined to help their mom find love before they go off to college.
