Kate Gosselin Feels Her Kids Are Supportive over Her Dating

Kate Gosselin is returning to the dating game after her painful divorce, and she’s happy that her children are supportive of her.

The television star said, “My kids are so supportive. They keep saying, ‘Do something for yourself, you’ve done everything for us.’”

Gosselin admitted that she was scared to go on a date because of her past experience.

“To go through a really painful divorce and have that all unfold led me to do the safe thing, which was just be me, mainly because I didn't want my kids to have to go through that again,” she said.

Kate and her ex-husband Jon Gosselin had a public divorce, announcing their separation on their show “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

RISE TO FAME

The couple shot to fame following the birth of their sextuplets. Their reality show, which aired beginning in April 2007, documented their unusual family.

Kate, who now stars in a new reality show “Kate Plus Date,” admitted that dating had not gone smoothly for her after her divorce.

“This was a journey I learned so much about myself, so much about other people, so much about dating. I still think I have a lot to learn. It was fun.”

Kate and Jon’s divorce was finalized on December 16, 2009, a decade after they were married. Following their divorce, Jon and Kate had a tumultuous relationship.

When their hit reality show premiered in 2007, the couple pointed out what seemed like minor problems in their relationship. As the ratings of their show soared, the quality of their relationship plummeted.

Kate had lamented that he felt like having a ninth child because she had to tend to John always. Jon, meanwhile, complained that she was too bossy.

Fans can only hope that Kate will finally find new love.
