Jon Gosselin Is All Smiles with Girlfriend Colleen and Two of His Kids in 4th of July Photo

Jon Gosselin celebrated Fourth of July with two of his children and his longtime girlfriend Colleen Conrad. Father and son matched in red for the occasion.

The former reality tv star took to Instagram on the Thursday holiday to share how he celebrated American Independence, and it was done in a modest fashion.

No fireworks lit up the page, but the bright smiles of the group of four were enough to spread positivity after all the struggles that the family has gone through. The post is found below.

Jon, who battled for custody of his eight children with ex-wife Kate Gosselin, reportedly takes care of Hannah and Collin under his roof. The two were pictured in the bright shot taken on a decorated street lined with tall trees.

Both Jon and Collin wore red t-shirts. Jon also wore white shorts while his son wore black. Hannah showed off some of her mid-riff with a pink spaghetti-string top and ripped jeans.

Collen also wore a sleeveless top, grey and loose, which covered most of her black shorts. "Happy Fourth of July us!!!!" Jon captioned the photo. He ended it with a fireworks emoji.

He and Colleen seem to be enjoying time out quite a bit recently. Just days before, the two enjoyed a movie date night in Bryant Park, New York City. They took a selfie at the end of it and shared it online.

"Had a fabulous time in NYC with Colleen!!!! Business and Pleasure!!!” Jon captioned the shot, making it clear that he and his girl are still going strong. The two reportedly started dating in 2014, having known each other since childhood.

Jon and Kate got divorced back in 2009 after suspicions of infidelity on Jon's part. They were married for 10 years. In that time, they entered the households of America with their show, "Jon and Kate Plus 8."

In a preview of Kate's new TLC show, "Kate Plus Date," the 44-year-old's daughters claimed that their mom was left with trust issues following her marital woes.

Mady, 18, said that despite the issues, her mom is still trying to find love because she "wants to be happy and that comes with some sacrifices." Namely, she may not yet be comfortable dating but she will do it in hopes of finding someone new.

Meanwhile, Jon has moved on and the relationship between the new woman in his life and his kids appears to be pretty good. He celebrated her birthday last month and thanked her for what she's done for both him and his children.
