Meghan Markle's Mother Doria Ragland Looks 'Royal' at Archie's Christening
Meghan Markle’s former social worker mother, Doria Ragland, wore a pretty peach suit for her grandson, Archie’s christening ceremony.
Doria Ragland was in attendance at the christening ceremony of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor which held on July 6. The event was a private one, and it took place at the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle.
DORIA’S STUNNING ALL-PEACH OUTFIT
Via their official Instagram profile, @sussexroyal, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a few photos taken to commemorate the special event with the public. It is in one of the pictures that fans got to appreciate Doria, Meghan Markle's mother’s elegant ensemble.
The 62-year-old stood beside Prince Charles in the stunning official christening portrait. For the special occasion, Doria wore a peach coloured coat dress, and a matching hat.
In the picture, only the top half of Doria is visible, but that didn't lessen the stylish air she had about her.
It is not the first time Doria will be making an appearance at a royal event like this one. Even before her daughter's marriage to Prince Harry, she notably accompanied Meghan to high-end occasions like the Invictus Games and the 20th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women.
The former social worker has always made a highly respected presence at such occasions not only because of her status but because of her chic fashion choices.
Her appearance at Archie's christening was indeed befitting of royalty as she brought the stylish look to perfection by keeping the accessories to a minimum. The only ones obvious were a pair of small gold hoops and a statement gold brooch attached to her coat.
THE STRIKING RESEMBLANCE BETWEEN DORIA AND MEGHAN
Doria was not the only one who made a stunning appearance in the portrait. Her daughter looked very beautiful in a white floor-length white Dior dress and matching hat.
The proximity of the mother-daughter duo in the same picture made the striking resemblance between them quite distinct. Since she became a part of the British royalty, Meghan Markle has always made sure that her mother is present at significant family events.
Markle's thoughtfulness is indeed charming and is perhaps one reason fans are always on the lookout for Doria at such occasions.
Other notable appearances in Archie's official christening portrait were Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, plus Harry and William's late mother Princess Diana's sisters, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.
