Miley Cyrus Mourns the Death of Her Pet Pig Bubba Sue
The pop star is known for her love for animals and veganism, and she recently suffered the loss of one of her dearest pets, which she affectionately calls “Pig Pig.”
26-year-old singer and actress Miley Cyrus paid tribute to her pet pig Bubba Sue that recently passed away after spending its entire life with the star, who adopted it back in 2014.
The “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” singer took to her Instagram stories on July 11 to announce the death of the pig, and she also shared some of her good memories with her beloved furry friend.
“Very sad to say… my dear friend Pig Pig has passed away…. I will miss u always,” Cyrus captioned a video of herself and the female pig as she fed it an apple. “Thank you for so many laughs and good times, girl,” she added.
In another expired story, Cyrus posted a throwback selfie alongside Pig Pig as she planted a muddy kiss on the animal, still a piglet in the image. “I will miss you, Pig Pig,” the star wrote next to a pig and a broken heart emoji.
Professionally speaking, 2019 has been a very active year for Cyrus. In June, the singer released a six-track EP titled “She Is Coming,” revealing that it is the first of a trilogy. Also, in a return to her acting origins, Cyrus starred on Netflix’s dystopic science-fiction anthology series Black Mirror for the series first episode of current Season 5, debuted on June 5.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer also recalled the time when she teamed up with Bubba Sue to appear on the cover of Paper magazine in the summer of 2015, sharing a picture of the two, with a naked Cyrus hugging her already grown pet.
Cyrus adopted Bubba Sue in August 2014 after her dog Floyd died in April that year. Apart from the pig, the “Hannah Montana” star owns seven dogs, four horses, and three cats, in addition to her husband Liam Hemsworth’s dog.

29-year-old Hemsworth, Cyrus’ longtime on and off boyfriend, to whom she married in December 2018, is also a devoted animal lover, something that he proved during the November California fires, which destroyed the couple’s Malibu home.
Cyrus was taken by her beau when she saw him rescuing every animal from the household before the fire caught the property, as she told radio host Howard Stern.

“Liam, I’ve never loved him more for this. He was so incredible — he got all the animals out in his truck. He put two pigs in crates, which I tell you is so hard,” Cyrus revealed.

The episode, with strong ties to Cyrus’ real life, and released during Pride Month, quickly became a favorite for the gay community, with many gay fans expressing their love for the character of Ashley O, and even the gay dating app Grindr endorsing Cyrus’ onscreen alter-ego on Twitter.
“She’s instantly recognizable and quotable; she’s going down in history,” 25-year-old Jacob Thorpe, a gay man from London said after attending the city’s Sink the Pink’s nightclub Pride party dressed as Ashley O.
“We were crying out for a straight-up bubble-gum pop star and Ashley came to our gay rescue. Additionally, the gays live for a fantasy: be that drag acts, Disney princesses or pink-haired pop stars. We eat this stuff up,” Thorpe shared.
