Fan's Reaction to Meghan Markle's Appearance at 'The Lion King' Premiere Goes Viral
On Sunday, Duchess Meghan and her husband Prince Harry attended the London premiere of The Lion King. A fan’s reaction at seeing the Duchess face-to-face on the orange carpet has gone viral.
One fan was photographed with his jaw dropped and his sunglasses lowered as he stared at Meghan who was standing a couple of people away from him. Now the man’s reaction and image have gone viral on social media.
FAN'S REACTION TO MEGHAN IS MEME-WORTHY
A Twitter user with the handle @LadyParky79 shared: “Oh my... the look on his face is hilarious and cute at the same time …” Clearly, he was in awe of seeing Meghan so up close.
For the occasion, she stunned in a black Jason Wu satin dress designed with sheer sleeves. The $6,183 gown featured a “mesh panel” and was accentuated with a $3,007 Gucci clutch bag and matching Aquazzura shoes.
She completed her look with earrings by Greek designer Nikos Koulis. Her husband looked very handsome and complemented his wife’s look with a tuxedo, a bow tie, white shirt, and evening shoes.
FAN WAS STAR-STRUCK BY THE DUCHESS
The same Twitter user with the comment about the man’s face also thought the image was meme-worthy. A second picture of the awe-struck man showed him with his phone held up high to take a photo of Meghan while he had the chance.
The second image was no less funny as the man still had his mouth wide open with shock. As the Royal couple appeared walking hand-in-hand, fans let out shrieks of excitement and we’re pretty sure the open-mouthed man was one of them!
Used to the attention but always humbled by it, Meghan waved at her fans and spoke to a few lucky ones. Other stars who were on hand for the premiere were Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z.
OTHER STARS WHO ATTENDED THE PREMIERE
In the film, Beyoncé voices the character Nala and Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) stars as Simba. Also in attendance were Sir Elton John, Pharrell Williams, Rochelle and Marvin Humes, Myleene Klass, and Seth Rogen to name a few.
Meghan and Harry attended the premiere in aid of conservation work through The Royal Foundation.
STAR-STRUCK FANS WHO CHANTED MEGHAN'S NAME
Last year October, the Duchess had fans chanting her name as she and her husband had a walkabout in Rotorua, New Zealand. It also happened to be the final day of their Royal tour and fans were desperate to gain her attention.
The crowd of girls eventually gained her attention as she turned around to greet them as they held a giant poster that they’d made for the couple.
