The pair starred side by side as a couple in the recently concluded series, "Game of Thrones". While Jason played "Khal Drogo," the leader of the Dothraki army, Emilia featured as "Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons."

Although their time on set was short-lived, the duo stops at nothing to advance their relationship off the screens. The talented actress recently flaunted her admiration for her co-actor in a post uploaded to her Instagram handle.

The online post featured the two screen stars in a warm and adorable embrace, as they both shared a genuine and happy close-eyed grin!

Emilia had a red rolled sleeve top on, paired with free pants and heels, and she crowned the look with shining pieces of jewelry. The birthday boy donned a light pink shirt on, with black pants.

That was not the tongue-wagging moment for her Instagram followers. It was the "Game of Thrones" star's message to her "Khal" that created the buzzing.

"Daenerys" wished him an enjoyable and resourceful year ahead, that didn't stop her from noticing their height difference which she mentioned.

"The mother of Dragons" also described her financial state after presenting a gift to her buddy. According to her:

"With you, I feel 2 feet small X 2 @prideofgypsies HAPPY FREAKING BIRTHDAY BABY! An oversized bath of happiness for another year of you. #moonofmylifemysunandstars #finallyabathbigenoughtobathadragonin #thenbrokecosispentallmymoneyonbubblebath.

This is not the first time she will be gracing her timeline with a picture of her " Khal." During the filming of an episode for the drama, Emilia posted a photo of him, herself and another cast member.

The actor stops at nothing to demonstrate his love and support for his friends on set, either by visiting during filming or dropping his thoughts online.

The soon to be 40-year-old actor may seem to have a special place for his onscreen beau, as he once aired his views on Emilia's character on the series.

"Baby that episode killed me. I love you, madly."

Apart from professing his love for her, the "Aquaman" star is also a friend indeed.

After the actress opened up about her brain aneurysms and how she conquered them, Jason shared with E-Online the details of how much bravery Emilia put up. He claimed he had been committed to helping her through every step of the way.

Both seem to have a special connection as friends, and several posts read that they have an invaluable bond. No wonder it was not a big deal wishing the star a happy birthday days before the D-day, she always seems to keep him in mind then.
