John David Duggar's Wife Abbie Is Pregnant with Their First Child

On Thursday, a Duggar couple revealed that they were pregnant with their first child. John David Duggar and his wife shared the news via the joint social media account.

Taking to Instagram, John David Duggar, 29, and his wife Abbie Burnett, 27, announced that they were expecting a baby together. The couple announced the news with an image of them riding in a helicopter holding a onesie written “Baby Passenger Onboard.”

The cute white onesie also featured a colorful plane. The couple captioned their post writing: “We are on Cloud 9 about welcoming our own little Duggar into the world!!!”

They also shared that they were amazed by the thought of “being parents” and having their “own child to raise.” The pair completed their post writing: “We are thankful that God has blessed us with this new life and we look forward to taking on this new adventure!”

Duggar and Burnett started courting last June. The next month Duggar proposed to her in an airplane hangar in front of a sign that read, “Abbie, Will You Marry Me?”

On November 3, the couple got married in Arkansas. Speaking about the joy of finally being married, the pair stated: “We are so excited to be married! It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us.”

However, they also thanked Jesus Christ for helping them meet. The Counting On stars also shared that they couldn’t wait for all the years together because it was going to be “amazing.”

The reality stars aren't the only ones in the family who are expecting. In April, Josh and Anna Duggar revealed they were expecting their sixth child together.

A month after that Josiah and Lauren Duggar shared that they would be welcoming a little bundle of joy too. Joseph and Kendra Duggar are expecting, as well.

For her wedding last year, Burnett stunned in a white wedding gown by Renee Miller from Renee’s Bridal. Their wedding day was the first time the pair got to kiss and it was televised on their reality show.
