Meet Pierce Brosnan’s Wife Keely Shaye Smith Who Plays a Big Part in the Actor's Life

Pierce Brosnan, the Irish-American actor best known as the fifth person to play James Bond, has been married to Keely Shaye Smith since 2001, and she has been very influential in his life.

The couple met each other at a party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in April 1994. Since Keely is a journalist, she was in that country working as a correspondent.

After dating for seven years, Pierce and Keely tied the knot in August 2001 at Ballintubber Abbey in County Mayo, Ireland. So far, they have welcomed two sons to the world: Dylan and Paris Brosnan.

Fortunately for their family, Pierce is not the only successful member of it. Keely is not only a TV personality and journalist but also the author of the book “Weekend Gardener.”

Apart from that, she has taken some modeling and acting gigs, appearing in “General Hospital” once and making a cameo in Huey Lewis’ song “Stung with You.”

Even though most married couples in Hollywood tend to break up a couple of years after getting married, Pierce and Keely’s relationship is the exception to that rule.

During an interview the actor had with People in 2017, he made clear how happy he is next to his wife.

“My wife and I took a short road trip up to Santa Barbara — we were going for a romantic weekend and to look at houses and drink great wine. We didn’t listen to any music, but we just listened to the sounds of each other’s voices and sorted out the world,” admitted Pierce.

In a different interview, the actor pointed out that the characteristic he likes the most about Keely was her passion. He explained that he couldn’t live without her strength. “When Keely looks at me, I go weak.”

Before Keely started having children, she had a slim and trimmed body that shocked everyone. In an old picture, the journalist appeared in a blue swimsuit posing with her actor husband, who opted for colorful shorts.

Despite the evident changes in the former model’s body, Pierce remains devoted and in love with her, and he is not shy when it comes to displaying his love for Keely.
